I just wanted to give some public props to AppleCare for the amazingly quick repair of my iBook! My iBook recently had the Logic Board failure, so I set things up w/ Apple to have my baby repaired. I sent my laptop off with DHL at 3:00 p.m. last Wednesday, and it arrived at my door on 10:30 a.m. Friday morning! I was expecting a week or so, but less than 48 hours! Wow! So if there are any Apple people out there, thanks!

Yep, that's exactly the same time frame it took to get my logic board replaced TWICE over the summer. It really made me mad that the stupid thing broke twice (about a month apart), but the speedy repair definitely eases the pain.
A switcher as of 8/20/03 and loving every moment of it!

Back when the 5300s went bad so often, I had the same good experience with the warranty program. A couple of times it took more than three days, never longer.
He can be fixed -- you can't.

My iBook, which has gone in three times for logic board problems, has always returned very fast from Apple. Not counting weekends, it was never more than four days between the day I dropped it off to ship it to Apple and the day it came back on my doorstep.
Two atoms were talking one day. One atom said to the other "you know, I think I've lost some electrons." The other atom said "are you sure?" The atom said "yeah, I'm positive." www.thisoldpodcast.com

Yeah, my iBook 700 failed twice... logic board failure... The first time they thought it was only a display problem and tried to repair it at my firm. No luck. Nontheless it took them one week. After it came back it broke again down within 2 days... It got repaired & sent back to/from another repair center within 2 days... It works fine for over 1 1/2 years now...
I'm-a trying to wonder, wonder, wonder why you, wonder, wonder why you act so.
