I ask because two days ago, I sure did. I had to plug in my iBook b/c the battery was running low while doing lots of work on this presentation. I forgot that I had it plugged in and stupidly walked across the cord, which yanked the iBook off of my dining room table and sent it crashing down onto my hardwood floor. The power plug came out and it shut off on impact. Thankfully, it started right up when I hit the power button and seems to be working fine here over the past couple of days. I was shocked and sure that I had broken it. I'm using a G3 700mhz 12''. I guess it takes a lickin and keeps on tickin when its logic board isn't failing.

I was in an 80 mile an hour head on wreck, and my iBook smacked the windshield from the back seat and it only has a couple of scuffs on the case.
I couldn't beleive it survived.

this is the car.

holy CRAP!!! wow...now THATS an ibook!! wish i could say the same for the car....hope everyone is fine though... I've only had one accident(knock on wood) with my ibook...I was riding home on my bike from class and tried to change up on my bike gears. as I stood up to anticipate a harder gear my foot lost its grip on the pedal and to compensate ( or just plain stupidity) I slammed my front break sending me flying over the handle bars....My ibook was in my bag...I slid and rolled about 5 feet...needless to say I was pretty screatched up...I was worried b/c I had rolled a good 2 times and my ibook was in my backpack...when I got home it worked just fine....
one day you are going to wake up and
live.

Count me in. I have a brand new 1.2 GHz 12", loaded with 768 MB of RAM and an 80GB hard drive. A really nice machine i'm even writing this on it right now, so i guess you know how the story ends already. This thing was GLEAMING, not even a month old, i got my last ibook used so the plastic was already worn and discolored somewhat, but this thing was just glowing white, it was great. So i was walking to my car with it in my right arm and a big plastic case containing a drill/saw kit in my left hand. And it simply fell. On the driveway. Still seems to work fine, and I could tell by the way it landed it wasn't that tough of an impact, like it kinda rolled out instead of smacking head on. But still the screen seems slightly misaligned, although the latch still works fine. And all 4 corners of the screen plus across the back of the screen are all gouged up pretty bad, i'm going to see if I can't polish them out somehow but it sucks cause this thing looked so flawless and now its ugly looking on the outside.

my wife and I where in the car we got a little brused from the sccident but other than that we were ok. Thank God. I am glad we were in the car we were in and not another. I really must say toyota makes a very safe car. It was a 2003 corolla LE. I even went and got a 2005 corolla S this time.

If you find anything good to get those scratches out I008com let me know. I also have some frome that wreck, and I would love to get them out.
Bless those that sacrifice for us all.
