Has anyone else installed a Matsushita/Panasonic UJ-815 in a Powerbook G3 Lombard (333MHz)? Have you ever managed to get it to burn a DVD?

Mine only operates as a combo drive. It burns CDs fine, but when you insert a blank DVD it does nothing. Doesn't even spit it out.

Any thoughts?

Can't help you, but how did you install the slot-load UJ-815 in the Lombard?

Hey Waragainstsleep

What OS are you using??? If its OS X 10.3.4 or up, did you download and install PatchBurn 3??? Thats needed so OS X will see it(Drive)... I'm saying OS X 10.3.4 and above because I haven't tried PatchBurn 3 with anything lower that that version of the OS... If your using a lower version you need PatchBurn 2 or 1... If you need the software just Google it, I can't remember the WebSite(getting old)...

Good Luck!!!

Brad
