Hi,

the sleep indicator is now always on (almost) when I'm powered up.

Why? Tried resetting the power manager, got worse.

See 'Strange Sleep light activity thread".

My bet is that when your light is full on that keyboard backlight (KBL) does not work. When it is off KBL works again.

Opinion on Apple discussion boards is that this is a warranty repair issue and the cure is a whole new motherboard. Sux eh?

Keyboard backlighting still works, but it's bothersome all the same.

I'm under warranty but doing a big job just now and can't send it in for at least 2 weeks.

Bah.
