I really want an iMac but just can't afford one. So, I've decided to go the budget route and get a good quality CRT monitor for my iBook. With the spanning hack, it should make for a decent desktop system. What would you guys recommend? I would like to spend less that $200. If possible, I would love to get a 19" monitor that could run at 1600 x 1200 at 85 Hz. If that isn't possible in this range, I will settle for a 17" incher.

I noticed on Craigslist that there are quite a few folks selling old Apple Studio displays (17" models) for around $100. I wouldn't mind picking one of these up, but I am wondering how good the display quality is. Also, I read that they only go up to 1152x870 at 75 Hz. If that is the case, that is a pretty low resolution and refresh rate.

Any recommendations??? Thanks in advance!
