Is there any way to adjust the keyboard backlight on a PB G4 15?

That depends on what you mean by adjusting it?

The F8 key toggles it on and off. The F9 key turns the brightness down and the F10 key turns it up. These keys work exactly the same way the brightness and volume keys do.
