Dear Folks:
I received this e-mail. I called and they are replacing the KEYLOCK models with Combination lock models, for free. The person that I spoke with told me that a method of "picking" the lock has been documented on video that is now on the internet.
If you have one of these circular locks and key mechanism, and you are counting on it offering you security and protection, you should definitely check things out!

Our records indicate that you purchased an "APC® by Kryptonite®"
notebook computer key lock (PNoteKL5 or PNoteKL8) between 2001 and fall of last year. As a valued APC customer, we want to make you aware of an
issue impacting this product.
As you may have read in the newspaper or heard on the news, Kryptonite,a manufacturer of a variety of locks - last week identified a vulnerability in a majority of its circular key locks. After careful inspection of our notebook computer key locks, we have discovered that this product is affected by the same vulnerability.
We are not alone. A number of industries are impacted by products that incorporate this circular key lock design - from bike locks to vending machines and parking meters.
