This the comment in my FEDEX tracking status.

Anyone have this happen to them before? Does this delay the delivery? What is it exactly?

It has 12 hours since the iBook arrived in the states at the depot, and now it just sits in this status with no activity.

Any ideas?

Was it shipped from overseas? Might be customs.

iBooks are manufactured in Taiwan. Ours came in without any problem at all. On the other hand, a percentage of all shipments into the US are searched; maybe your package is a winner!

It wouldn't be a big deal to call the Customs Service and ask about it. The worst they can do is tell you they can't tell you anything about one of a gazillion packages they inspect every day.

I'll bet that's what it is.

I wonder how long this is going to hold up the delivery though. That is my concern.

My iBook was delivered BEFORE the "projected shipping date" for the computer. They're FAST. Don't sweat too much-and remember that little that is not genuinely urgent is accomplished outside of the shipping pipeline on weekends.

You could call FedEx's customer service and ask for an explanation and how long this sort of delay usually lasts... Just a suggestion (it keeps you from twiddling your thumbs clean off).
