Does anyone else use Open FirmWare StartUp Security App? I do and recently the app is crashing everytime I try to start it up. Never had this issue before. I know for a fact that the app really does secure my iBook from intruders. I want to change the password as I have done many times before but this darn crashing issue is not letting get the app open long enough to do it. Any and all advice and guidance is gratly appreciated. Thanks.

I use it and it has never crashed. Are you running it from an admin account?

I set the password directly in Open Firmware. Here are the directions on how to do it. The only downside is that you must type "boot" after the password to boot your system.

I have downloaded the entire app three times. This has not solved the problem of the app quiting approximately 15 seconds after it launches. It opens, launches then quits. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.
