Hi! I'm pretty much set getting a 12" ibook. I would like a 12" PB but I think for the money the iBook is definitely it. I just wished that the 12 iBook had the 1.33 G4 processor.
Right now I'm not sure if I should just get the 14" iBook over the 12". I would liek the 12 because of the smaller size but what do you guys think?
I know the screen resolution is basically the same so I can't gain any real estate but I heard the 12s have better screens? (coming from an Apple Store). Anyway, will the 1.33 CPU increase be noticeable?
Thanks in advance!
- John

As I have said several times before (and lots of other people have as well, so next time please do a little reading before you ask ) the difference will not be noticeable at all. The CPU is ~11% faster which results in a 0-5% real world performance increasement.

Hardly noticable, you should get the 12" and load it up with RAM, BT, up the HD or whatever else you'd like with the money you end up saving.

Feel free to buy the 12-incher if you want an iBook, unless your eyes are bad. Hard drive size and RAM allotment will matter more to your performance than processors so close together in speed.
One thing you should know: the 12-incher, like mine which is under repair, has a cosmetic defect. The battery won't ever look perfectly aligned to the case. It's no big deal and it does not affect iBook performance, but it is there.
