Passed all the hardware tests and I added another 256 meg of RAM I had laying around.

This iBook is awesome! I was worried that it would arrive missing manuals or something gone wrong and with BTO, no returning it.

So far everything is perfect.

Now I must debate going all the way to 1.25 gig RAM or leave it at 512 meg.

BTW, I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to play all 5 Garageband demo songs without any of the "red triangle" cpu issue. And I had other apps open at the time too. I really had written off Garageband since I figured the cpu load would be too much for the iBook. Wonderful surprise. So out to get an iMic!

The small screen is no obstacle either, thanks to Expose. I actually find the portability to be more than compensating for it.



This one should hold me over until the iBook G5 is announced around MacWorld 2007.

congrats! I just got my 12" ibook yesterday and i am also impressed. i am surprised that the 256 ram is doing so well (even though i have a 1 gig on the way too). enjoy.

Good purchase. I got my 14'' ibook a couple weeks ago. I have no complaints thus far.
