I am planning to buy a AlBook 15" w/80GB 5400rpm drive. How can I tell if the drive is 4200 or 5400rpm?

It is not coming from Apple BTO directly, but from a dealer in Dubai.

Is there a list of drive models that are 5400?

Thanks,

Trygve

You can get info in system profile after receipt and check out drive specs. If necessary, you can goto mfg's website

I dont think system profile will list the RPM speed of your drive.

Best thing is have the dealer send you the model number of the drive and then google it.

It should be easy to find a spec sheet.

No, but it WILL list the model, which you can then plug into google.

Well, there is a label on the box which tells the specification of your PowerBook.
