My iBook originally had a screen hinge issue. It got so bad to the point where the computer was inoperable. Eventually, I sent it back to apple and they fixed it. Now, the same thing happened about 5 months after it went out of warranty. Will they fix it? I mean, it is their fault that they failed to fix the same problem the first time around.. not mine.
This is really annoying having my laptop sit idle for months
I'm only a highschool kid too.. so its not like I can throw down $400 or whatever they charge for the fix.

My guess would be no, but your best to ask Apple.
This is why there is Applecare.

There is only a 90 day warranty on repairs (or the standard machine warranty). So, since your warranty expired 5 months ago, they won't do anything.
Also, what do you mean by "screen hinge issue?"

As in unless the screen is tilted at a 2 degree angle, I can't see anything.
Time to throw this iBook in the trash. Needless to say, I will not get another mac.

Don't be so quick to write off the iBook...
There are a number of discussions on the Apple support forums regarding the screen hinge/backlight issue (which it sounds like you're suffering from) and while Apple may have dropped the ball on supporting what's apparently a known, ongoing issue there are a number of people who've successfully fixed their iBooks by ordering the part and installing it themselves. I don't have the links handy but they shouldn't be too hard to find.
My iBook 600 is suffering from this problem and it's a month past warranty; I've got the part on order and I'm hoping that with a few hours of playing with tiny screws, my iBook will be up and running again.

It's not a fun repair even for those of us that have done it a few times before. However, it's a relatively cheap part (it's just a cable). If you've never been inside your iBook before, this will take the better part of a day. I think the last time I replaced one of the reed switch cables, it took me somewhere between three and four hours. I think I could probably do it now in somewhere between two and 2.5.
It's still not fun.
