Merry Christmas all,

I have a newer G4 iBook, and the battery no longer charges, it stays right at 13%. and my ac adaptor stays green (it should be orange since the battery should be charging.) I recently updated to 10.3.7, but am not convinced this can be fixed by software, as i have reset the pmu etc, as well as frigged with some other stuff with no results. Does anyone have any suggestions (besides "take it to apple" which is a last resort, and usually causes more problems anyway.) Also, i am unable to remove the back case, which is easy to do on G3 ibook models. Can someone explain the process of removing the back case on an iBook G4?

Thanks!

Removing the bottom case is exactly the same on the iBook G4 as it was on the iBook G3. However, this isn't going to help you any. The thing to try is to connect another battery. If it does something different, you have a battery problem and should replace the battery. If the other battery does the same thing, try a different AC adapter. If it does does the same thing with a different AC adapter, you either have a bad DC-in board or a bad logic board. If it does something different with a different AC adapter, you have a bad AC adapter.
