While I was taking my notebook through airport security the other day one of the handlers put two small scracthes on the bottom of my powerbook (aluminum). They are visible, but I cannot feel them when running my hands over them (not very deep).

Does anyone have any advice on how to remove these scratches? Is there any aluminum polishing product out there that could do it without hurting the finish? Anyone tried a particular product and was successful?

Thanks in advance.

at a uni cafe I met a alu book owner which covered up some lid scratches by using detail paint found at a hobby store(aka those places which sell paints, brushes, etc for car, plane, ship models). you could probably use a battleship gray coloured paint but since the scratch is on the bottom theres really no point in covering that because its a location few people actually look at.
