With school coming up I need to get myself a bag so that I can bring the iBook with me to school and work. I was looking at getting a bag from Timbuk2.com because they're cool looking and I was just wondering what you guys use, maybe some have experience with Timbuk 2 bags. I'll only need to transport the iBook, my iPod, and perhaps folders.

A quilted sleeve does it for me.
I haven't seen anything like it available commercially but a local quilting/sewing club might whip one up in a day or so for materials + change, that's how I got mine.
The only thing special about mine is that I used a (hand) felted wool batting instead of cotton like you'd use in a blanket - for its ability to absorb insane amounts of liquid.
Granted, it's not a high tech hard-case but for casual carrying it's nice. Well padded, absorbs a 64oz. soda pretty well (tested with a stack of paper inside ) and it's unique.

i have a timbuk2. i love it. except it falls on its face a lot when i set it down.
fits the iPod very well. there are two pockets right below the cover that are perfectly sized.
i hesitated at the sight of the $100 pricetag, but i have no regrets.

I carry mine in a Crumpler Wack-O-Phone. It's the only way to go.

I second the Timbuk2. If your going to school, stay away from the "cool" looking notebook bags. They're really easy to spot and thieves are always on the prowl. I used a sportfolio II and a eBag notebook backpack that worked really well, till I got this messenger bag, $100 was a bit upsetting a price but worth every cent.
