I just bought a 15 inch Powerbook 1.33 MGz

I want to replace the keyboard with a background light one!
I heard that this is not possible, only if the powerbook had already such
a keyboard you can replace it with this.

is this true?
thanks for your help!

You may contact the Apple Care and see if they could mail you a replacable parts. Since it is BTO option, you may be able to pay some extra buck to have it done in some Apple service centres.

No, it really isn't possible. The body of the PowerBook with the backlighted keyboard includes components (such as fiber optic channels) to make the keyboard. It's not as simple as swapping out the keyboard. If you didn't order the PowerBook with the backlit keyboard, it is unfortunately rather impossible to upgrade.
