I am about to claim a low capacity battery from applecare for the second time, leaving me with my third brand new battery in less than 2 years. Is it because i use this all the time (while plugged in)? Do these batteries just give out after 6 months? I am not sure what to do about this problem, maybe apple made bad ones for 6 months, and my next will last a while..

for refrence my current battery on 1 brightness bar only lasts 1hr 10 min while watching a movie with wireless internet on. i just realized i forgot to turn off wifi, but this still is WAY low.

That does seem quite low. Are the leather seats heated? That could be it.

I have heard of many problems with powerbook batteries, mine isn't great (15" 1.5) but its definitely not that bad. I think I get about 1:45 to 2 hours on mine watching movies with brightness that low.

I really don't have anything else to suggest though besides getting a new one from Apple Care lol. I know there was another company making powerbook batteries that were supposed to last slightly longer. You might search the forums for information on that.

As well, search macupdate.com for some battery diagnostic tools and see what you can come up with. It could be a problem with your powerbook and not your battery.

Also, have you tried resetting your PMU?

It's a joke for those people on this forum that also frequent Audiworld.com.
