Hi,

I'm new to the forums and also new to the Apple computer. I have gotten started with the above mentioned machine. Its a Titanium Powerbook 800mhz G4 with 1GB of ram. Now I was just wondering what the machine was worth now, cause I might want to upgrade in a few months to a faster G4. Well LMK. Thx

Do a comparison check on eBay... that would be your best bet...

I have the same machine. I would guess it is worth around $700 - $800.

no, its worth more than that. I'd say $850 if the batteries are good.

If you're interested in upgrading I would wait until either a dual G4 comes out or the G5 comes out. Granted even the current 1.5ghz powerbooks would be a decent upgrade, but you're probably better off waiting a bit if you're machine can do everything you want it to do right now. In the worst case you'll be able to pick up a used 1.5ghz powerbook for a decent price when the new lines come out...
Mac: 15" 1.5ghz PB w/ 128mb vid, 5400rpm 80gb, combo drive, 2gb ram
Peripherals: 20gb 4g iPod, Canon i950, Canon S230 "elph", Canon LIDE30, Logitech MX510, Logitech z5500, M-Audio Sonica Theater, Samsung 191T
PC: AMD "barton" XP @ 2.3ghz, 1gb pc3200, 9800pro 128mb, 120gb WD-SE 120gb
Xbox: 1.6, modded with X3 xecuter, slayers evoX 2.6, WDSE 120gb HDD
