Well, my brand new iBook G4 1.2 GHz came today. It's 100x better than the 500 MHz G3 model! I noticed that the space bar doesn't work unless you hit the left 33% of it. Will the AppleStore fix this? I *really* don't want to send it out for repairs ala iBook G3...

Someone posted about this and they said that they called apple and they sent them a brand new keyboard. So you may have to deal with it for a few days but I think they will take care of it. Give them a call.

That's so funny.... my iBook is a month old and the keyboard was broken out of the box.. (many keys didn't work).. so they sent me another. but now, out of no where, you have to press the space key center or to the left to get it to register... tap it with your right thumb and nothing. Wasn't there supposed to be a new version of the keyboard due out soon?

Mines not level at all on many keys, including the space but it works across the entire bar. However, based on every other iBook G4 I've seen the spacebar is badly buggered and really needs to be replaced across the line.

Although I doubt they'll do a recall - too mediapathic and theres many people like me where it works but just looks wrong.
