My Powerbook is falling apart. I don't know what's happening to the little guy. Yesterday afternoon the headphone port stopped working. The port is definitely not dead, because out of the hundred times I plugged it in, the computer recognizes that headphones are being plugged in about 5 of those times. I thought it might have been software related, so I reset the PRAM and then did an archive and install. Still not working. Any suggestions, because I really can't send the machine in until May.

I tried a set of speakers and two pairs of headphones.

That sucks. Ports get worn out over time. I'm dreading the time when my USB port will get worn out from plugging in my USB mouse every time I put it on a desk. Same thing with power adapter.
