Will i notice a big difference going from 512MB to 1GB of RAM with a 15" 1.5MHz powerbook?

I will mainly use it for word processing, photoshop, web surfing, itune

i search and notice that people usually recommend as much ram as possible ... but the way i use my powerbook i don't know if i will notice a big improvement ... thanks

Yup.
I went from 128 to 640 to 1.12GB in my 867MHz Rev.A 12" PowerBook and the incremental improvements with the RAM where noticeable.
My mantra... "Max the RAM"
