I'm curious: how many people plan to buy the new models, but are waiting for Amazon to include them in its rebate program?

Just a point of curiosity...I know I'm waiting, and I'm curious if anyone else is doing the same.

fwiw, it took the better part of 5 months for amazon/rebatestatus.com to fulfill my $200 rebate on a cell phone i purchased back in september. (they were a bit more timely a year and change before when i purchased a different cell phone and plan through them.)

Yeah, I am dealing with them now on the $150 rebate on the 12" iBook that they posted for a while and then pulled. It's not so fun...but hey, once they fulfill it, consider:
-- iBook 12" 1.2Ghz sold for $999.99
-- Epson C86 sold for $89.99
-- Got the purchase price of the Epson back from the Epson rebate
-- Got $20 back from Epson for the Epson-specific rebate (so to be clear, I've now been paid $20 to have bought the printer)
-- Got the A9.com discount on my Amazon order, which was $17
-- My credit card pays me 1% cash back, meaning they give me $11
-- $150 rebate

So basically, I got a brand new iBook and printer for $802. Ridiculous, isn't it?

And the rebates seem still available with the new adjusted prices on older PBs.... Pretty nice Ithink.
