Ok when i connect my DV cam using fire wire i get no connection , then other days my connection is active , can any explain what im doing wrong or why my firewire wont work ??

What does this have to do with Powerbooks?

Try a different Firewire cable, reset the PRAM, PMU, etc. Basic troubleshooting here before asking for help.

My guess is he's probably using a powerbook, and since the firewire is integrated into the PB logic board, I would say it's slightly powerbook releated at the least. Also, I know that when I had 12 posts here I was new to the machine and didn't know how to reset the PRAM and such. Now trying a different cable is always the first thing to do...
