Hi,

I ordered my first Mac ever yesterday (new PB 17") with the Apple Protection Plan. The APP shipped yesterday with a delivery date of tomorrow but the laptop still hasn't shipped.

Is this normal? Why would the APP be fedexed to me? Is it just the paperwork?

It's normal. APP is actually a box with the paperwork included inside as well as a CD w/ some random stuff on it you'll never need nor use. Just hold tight to the box 'til your PB arrives to register them both together. I have no idea why Apple does that; they could just include the APP w/ the PB and save on shipping costs. It's not like you could use it beforehand. But rest assured things are fine...hope you enjoy your new PB!

I guess I was assuming that the APP was just like an extended warranty from other manufacturers where (as far as I know) you do not get any extra paperwork separate from the system.

Thanks for clarifying
