I am going to pickup a 250 gb external hdd. I have a powerbook as well as 3 Windows XP machines

What will be the best way to format it? Can OS X write/read NTFS? no?

If it can't I was thinking Fat32 would be the next best choice, but it cant support files larger than 4gb. Maybe 2 partitions, HFS+ and FAT32.

What are your experiences or thoughts?
