Hi.
First of all I'll explain my premiise, which could be entirely wrong in which case the rest of this post is moot

Apologies if this is the case.
I have two screens, the built in LCD on my Powerbook and an extermal monitor.. When using them in Mirroring mode I was under the impression that it still took more VRAM to drive the displays than to drive just one of the screens. I could, however, be wrong on this.
To improve performance when playing games, specifically WoW

, I'd like to put the built-in LCD to sleep whenever I'm playing so that all available VRAM is used for the external monitor. Energy Saver setting for putting it to sleep after a set time won't work since I'm still interacting with the computer.
Is this possible and if so would it actually bring any advantages? I've done a few searches and not found any suggestions.
Cheers,
Neil
