I've got a first generation 500mhz Dual USB iBook. The DVD drive no longer closes. If I scotch tape it closed, runs fine. I can't see that anything is broken, but was going to take it apart anyway, figure maybe a loose spring. Does anyone out there have any experience with this? Perhaps knows how the latching mechanism works (so I can at least know what I'm looking for)? Any help greatly appreciated (btw, taking the thing apart, NP, done it before with other iBooks)

Dunno about a solution, but I had the same problem with my dual-usb 500mhz ibook.
