Did anyone notice that the default configuration of the colors on the new pbs are horrible? Mine is all washed out and white. I ran the color calibrator, and now things are way too contrasty. I don't know what the deal is, but the colors appear off somehow. Anyone else notice this?

yeah, its more of a white out rather than the screen just being dark.
