Hi there,

I have an Altina GPS I wish to use with my Powerbook. The manual that comes with the GPS is designed for Windows CE and it talks about connecting to the GPS as a "SPP Slave" (i.e. you don't use a mutual keycode to pair to the device).

I have no idea how the heck I do this under OS X.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I solved the issue; will post the solution here for others that may come across the same issue.

It appears OS X forces you to use a keycode with 'other' bluetooth items, which seems silly as some don't even need a keycode. In any case though, it seems pretty much every device that 'doesn't need a keycode' actually will have a keycode, you just need to find it. Once I found it, paired to the device fine.
