I was in the Apple store last night and to my surprise, Kensington sells a power inverter for $30. I've always been under the impression that using a laptop on a power inverter was suicide for your battery (due to the modified sine wave). Since Apple's selling these, my suspicion is that either Kensington created one with a different sine wave or Powerbook batteries aren't affected by any power inverter. Anyone know the answer to this? I suppose it could also be that Apple doesn't care if you nuke your battery, but i'm hoping that's not the case.

Seems to me that it might kill your power adapter, but not the battery. It's the power adapter that has to deal with the vagaries of incoming current.
He can be fixed -- you can't.
