So, with my pbook purchase I decided to get a wireless router, my question is, my apartment picks up like 12 networks in my apartment, the problem is when I turn my computer on from sleep it picks a different network than mine,is there a way to change preference of networks or something?

In Network System Preferences under Airport, select to join a specific network and specify your network.

You also should probably do mac filtering or encryption of some sort. That way noone will be using your network.
