Will we see a dual core G4 based PowerBook in the future? I am thinking about heating issues (even if the processor is a bit slower than the current high-end), also battery life and space.

What do you guys think?

Maybe, though a D-C would have about the same issues as a G5 PowerBook. With liquid cooling, maybe ... but not anytime soon.

I really see a future of Apple promoting a 64bit processor and using dual core instead of a G5, being that two 32bit is somewhat a 64bit processor.

Having two 32-bit processors doesn't make a native machine word 8 bytes long. Two 32-bit processors aren't a 64-bit processor in any sense and it would be totally false advertising to promote them that way.
