Bought it from Crucial during the weekend, received it on Tuesday. Very fast shipping, installed was easy. Jump pop the 2 old 256 out and pop the 2 new 512 in.

The perfermance gain is not bad, but i expect more (on a Ti 667)

What can I do next... to make it faster, 1GB is the maximum... i also cleaned up 10GB of disk space just before it.

Just thought I'd share, good experience. Worth the US$200. (came to CAD$300 after conversion and tax)

And when buying at Crucial.com , the price listed under RAM upgrade and MAC is different!!! SAME RAM, but more expensive under MAC!!! I ordered under ram upgrade.

I maxed out my TiBook's RAM a month ago and it's quicker for a some stuff (the Unison news reader is RAM-happy, for example). Nice improvement for me...but it depends on what you do.

Sounds like the next improvement you're looking for is a faster internal hard drive. I'm not doing that one myself, though (I'm actually looking towards a new iBook/PowerBook purchase one of these days).

i upgraded my titanium 667's hard drive to a hitachi 60gb 7200 rpm model. i have to say, it definitely gave the whole system a bit of a boost. it may be something you want to consider.

thanks for the suggestion...

in fact, my battery has been dead for a while, i may want to purchase a new battery, if i ever want to go wireless again... and my airport card is dead as well... no idea why.

And i will definitely get the new Powerbook within a year time. the 667 will stay, as a desktop

Expensive but a great alternative to Airport if you have the cash and you are in a Verizon Broadband area, see last 4 pics:

Of course Verizon has its Broadband phones out not though. I need to find out if I can connect my 17" to the net with one of those, perhaps via Bluetooth?
