My iBook should be here next week hopefully. I've never used a notebook much before. My current work PC is a ThinkPad, but it's in the docking station 99% of the time.
I think the iBooks use Lithium Ion batteries.
Is it best to only plug it in and use the battery most of the time? The opposite?
I think that lead-acid batteries (e.g. car batteries) are best recharged often. They are never quite the same again once fully discharged, quite bad for them.
The other extreme, nicads, seem to work best when often fully discharged.
What's the final word in iBook battery use to mazimize its life? If the machine is plugged in mot or all of the time, is that bad for the battery?
Sorry if this has been beaten to death. Pointers to FAQs much appreciated. :-)
Thanks very much again guys,
Chris
