so i installed the modded driver for the older Al Powerbooks, you know the one... it lets you use the new two finger scrolling features of the 2005 models... well i was cleaning up some files in my home directory, and i dragged a few to a new file, while doing so, i tried to scroll up... and guess what happened (those of you that have the driver installed try it before reading on) the controll menu, you know, a "right-click" yeah that showed up... okay, i know, this is probably an undocumented feature thats been around for a while, but i just found it and i had to share...

so feel free to try it with the old driver and let me know if it works too... either way its too cool!,

to re-produce...

click and hold the mouse button, then tap (with two fingers, sorry i just tried again, probably doesent work on the older driver) and the menu should show...

too effin cool!

I believe the way it works is a 1 finger tap (have your trackpad's "button" enabled) = left click, 2 finger tap = right click

For modern, but now the new, Powerbooks and modern iBooks.

If they have a W-Enhanced trackpad you can enable a few features.

See here: http://www-users.kawo2.rwth-aachen.de/%7Erazzfazz/

Does require use of the Terminal, but no biggy. Just set the Terminal to transparent (in Terminal:Window Settings) and follow along with the directions.

If you more options (but not the two finger scrolling) try Sidetrack from Raging Menace.
