My 14' 900 mhz G3 Ibook died last night.

It started when i was sitting in class and the "beachball of death" showed up when i tried to unlock it from it's sleep state. So...force reboot and everything works well for a little while.

Then when i get home, I sit down in my recliner to check on something that i was working on, and when i open up the ibook the contrast on the screen was all the way down and wouldn't come back on. So...force reboot and everything works again...for a second.

Then all hell breaks loose and my screen starts getting all these crazy lines and starts flickering like it's possesed. Then....CAPUT...nothing....screen freezes in weird warped position.

Now i can't get the screen to come back on at all...at first it would come on and just hang at the blue screen...now it just stays black and won't let me do a thing.

So I made it a little over 2 years before the logic board died. I have applecare till 06', so hopefully they will fix it quick and get it back to me. I really hate the inconvienience.

Good thing I just convinced my girlfriend to buy a G3 800 mhz ibook that i can use in class till mine gets back.

Maybe when they switch the logic board that stinking white spot on my screen will go away finally.....they've already replaced the screen to get rid of that but it never worked...came back within a freaking week.

c'mon ibook! wake up!
