So I have had my 12" PB 1.33ghz, 1.25gb ram, 60gig hd, combo for just a bit over a month now.

What I love:

- OS X
- Portability
- Battery life (~4-4.5 hours)
- Keyboard
- Compatibility (everything just works)
- The way it handles dual displays (mirroring, extended desktop)
- The design, which includes: the latch mechanism, the aluminum machined look, the apple logo on the back of the screen and how good it looks overall
- Terminal
- Multitasks like a dream

What I don't love:

- Battery is not flush on the front
- Wireless signal is not good at all (sometimes I get only 3 bars and the router is NEXT TO ME)
- The wrist rest to the right of the touchpad makes a clicking noise when pressed
- Safari slows down every now and then
- Gaming performance could be better, but I don't really care too much about that

I'm probably missing some things in both categories, so I'll add to it later. Overall, I absolutely love this thing. Like it says in my profile, I will never be switching back!

Awesome, we should start a threat or even an entire forum for switchers! This goes beyond powerbooks.

As I write this I am at work and just went to do a two finger scroll down on my Dell and it did not work. I am already hooked for life.

The wireless signal thing is pretty weird. I just switched over to mac with a 15"pb and I set up wireless internet with Airport Express and i can be anywhere in my apartment and i get full bars. Also, safari isn't that great. I use firefox... it's just too customizable to pass up. That, and you can speed it up much faster than safari.

I also have a Linksys wireless router and used to only getting 2-3 bars. After I changed network mode to G-only, wireless channel to some other channels, SSID broadcast to off, and tweaked some other parameters, I'm now getting full bar most of the time. Probably you've already tweaked your router; then I guess you have too much interference in your room.

I've tried changing the settings on my router, but it did not help.

I still love this thing though. I can multitask like crazy. I also haven't had to reboot this thing in over 2 weeks (would be longer, but Onyx forces me to restart after I clean stuff up).

Big thumbs up
