I am thinking of having my PB 12 rev c to have the same programs as my new PB 17 using its CD restores. Is it possible?

One thing more, What do I need to maximize the use of the built-in optical digital output/input of this new PB 17?

Thank you for your help and output!

Use Carbon Copy Cloner.

You could try a complete install (OS and apps) but it may not work. My Rev.D 15" restore CD says it is only for 15" and 17" PBs. You could try just installing the apps from the restore CD. That should work.

Don't know anything about the digital I/O.

I Installed the restore onto my TI PowerBook and it appears to run fine. I didn't test it very much, but it seems to be just like another copy of Os X.
