My firewire hard drives wont recognize with my clamshell g3 ibook.
When i plug in my ipod it charges, but I can't find it as a hard drive or on my itunes.
Same thing happens when i plug in any other external firewire drive.
Any advice.
I am at a loss.
oh, and i have tried multiple firewire cords.
Please help.
Thanks so much

Seems to suggest that something is wrong with your ibook. You can hope it's not a hardware issue. I'm assuming you're running os9; do all the normal maintenance stuff like reboot, rebuild the desktop, etc. Try booting up with a system disc and seeing if you can recognize the FW drives then.
