I thought I'd have problems running games at a decent resolution on my 15" Powerbook. Boy was I wrong.

I played Battlefield 1942 and UT2004 at my desktop resolution (1280x854) with some details dialed down and it ran perfectly fine. It's the 1.5ghz G4 / 64mb ATI with 1.5gb ram. I really didn't expect it to run games as well as it does and it does so without even heating up too much.

Needless to say, I'm very impressed.

The one thing that is bothering me about it is the ambient light sensors. I figured out that they are inside the speaker area and I noticed that the one on the left is really sensitive. If my left hand glances near it (which it has done 6 times while typing this), the screen will dim slightly.

Is this a problem other 15" users are having, or is it just me?

You could always turn off the sensor when it's not needed.
