Howdy...

I am trying to find a estimate on how long it takes to replace an iBook's logic board from start to finish. I would guess about 1 hour and 30 minutes from my experience, but I have not become totally comfortable with the procedure.

If you could give me honest estimates of your repair times, that would be great.

Thanks!

I feel pretty comfortable in the procedure, and it usually takes me 90 minutes from cracking the case to putting back the final screws.

Of course, then there's reinstalling the OS, testing the logicboard functionality, etc.

Don't forget to make sure that your screwdrivers and tools aren't blunt, or you might accidentally ruin the screw (like what happened to me ).

hmmm... iBook logic boards... unfortunately, I've been shipping all of those off to Apple. Under the MLBREA, I have to. On the G4s, I just don't have the time with as huge as my list is... it would be nice if there were a second Mac tech here.

BTW, anyone in WNC want a job?
