im looking to get the apple av cable for the ibook. and it says Compatible only with iBooks having an A/V port. im new with all of this. which would be the a/v port on the ibook. i have the g3 900. any help would be wonderful. thank you.

The first white Dual USB iBooks used these:


Later revs used this one:


I thought the iBook switched to the second kind by the time the 900Mhz G3 model was out.
These are easy to find at any Apple store or online. The first ones are prob not being made but call Apple and ask if that is what you need. Or trythese guys but make sure that is what you are looking for. Which I am almost positive it is not.

yes i think its the second that will work. for pluggin into the vga dealy. thank you much. i havent seen that one on the apple site. imah have to do more fishing around. thank you.

If you are close to an Apple store I would go check the table in back with opened products. People buy the wrong cables all the time and when they return them they end up being sold for half price ($10 instead of $20) at the table. That's how I got mine anyway.

thats a swell idea also. thank you. i was thinking maybe they did something like that but the neartest apple store is in the snobbiest mall in the world so i dont really go there a lot. i do get my college discount of 3 dollars though :0)

I don't think so, but don't hold me to that. At least this is one of those cables that is really easy to tell apart. The one pictured has one end that looks like an audio minijack cable and the alternative is a mini vga connector that is much wider.

No it will not work with any G4 iBook. You need the second one for that.
