PowerBook Zone has posted some information regarding display problems with the new PowerBooks, as well as with the previous generation, both of which use the Radeon 9700 card. Apparently, under some conditions (including certain DVDs), users experience visible scan lines on the screen. PB Zone claims to have gotten a lot of feedback from owners with this problem, but my guess is that it's still relatively few experiencing this, otherwise there would more buzz about it, especially if it's a problem going back to last year.
Still, as someone considering one of the new books, I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this problem.
