I recently purchased a new Battery for my 15" ti DVI powerbook, heres the problem after conditioning and charging the battery several times. the Battery icon is showing a X in it and no power I changed to another Battery I know is good and I get the same results anybody experience this before,and if so whats the problem

try resetting your power management unit and see if that helps. i believe on your model, that is done by shutting down, lifting up the keyboard and depressing the small metal button in the top right hand corner for a few seconds.

Thanks for your quick reply! I reset my PMU but the problem is still there where is the pram battery on this powerbook and could it cause the problem

It's most likely the new battery has simply failed. If you're lucky, it's still under warranty and you can return it for replacement.

Thanks for all your input, but I found the problem it seems the Battery connection had worked loose and was being pushed away when the Battery was installed. I took the machine apart and tightened every thing up and presto it works fine. thanks again
