i just a 1gb samsung stick from owc ($267 delivered next day) - how easy is it to install myself? is the process risky?

should i (and where could i) get one of those cloths to protect the screen from the keys?

any recommendations on a padded sleeve (not a bag) to put it in when i travel with it?

thanks in advance!

Congrats on the purchase.

The RAM install is every bit as simple as freakboy2 described.

I don't use one of those cloths, but that's probably just as much out of laziness as anything else. It's probably not a bad idea. But make sure it's thin.

Lots of companies make sleeves. I have one from Spire, but almost every bag company makes them. Check The Big Sticky Bag Thread for more info.

For the cloth www.radtech.us

For the sleeve www.booqbags.com

Also check out the monolithic thread by latimer regarding bags/sleeves. It is so long your eyes will be bleeding by the end of it.

Seriously, make sure the screwdriver you use fits the screw exactly, or else you will strip the screw. Don't worry about the size (#0, #1, etc.). Just make sure it's a perfect fit.

Well, a Phillips #1 is a perfect fit. Thats the exact screwhead.
