Sorry- somehow missed a word or 2 there. I'm trying to get to my airport card. It was simple on my iBook- but on the powerbook..? I just wanted to make sure it is seated properly and replace if necessary.
Thanks

I don't have a 17" PB, so I'm not really sure if it's the same, but on the 12" PB it's kind of behind and under the battery. You have to take the battery out to get to it, but it's actually very easy to access/take out/put back in.

I also haven't seen the 17" airport slot, but I really don't know if you could access it at all. I think you could access it only on the Rev A, but whichever model you have should tell you this procedure in your user manuel. Check that and if it doesn't mention anything on how to remove the Airport card, then I think it's somewhere deep inside and you gotta take apart your book. I know I could access my airport card, but the last 12" PB doesn't have the slot in the same place.

The airport card is not accessible on the 17" without disassembling the machine. It is not user removable/replacable since it is fused to a flex connector inside the box. Why do you think you need to replace it?

As it turns out- I was able to reset it and things are good now. But it does surprise me that I couldn't get to if I needed to. What if it "died"?
