My friend sent me this email regarding her new ibook, 1.2gh. anyone have any experience with this? or what kinds of questions need to be asked?

So my comp keeps doing the freeze up thing, 3rd time now. And the tricks
don't work, it seems to finally work after turning it on and off a bunch of
times....grrr

First of all, this belongs in the iBook forum, not the Powerbook forum.

Secondly, in order for people to help you, you are going to need to provide more details. Examples: What version of Mac OS are you using? What are you doing when the computer crashes? What happens when the computer crashes? Give us some details and I'm sure many of us would be glad to help you solve your problem.

Since it's an iBook (all-in-one, processor on the logic board), there is one diagnostic step:

remove the RAM module. If it still freezes, it needs a logic board. Mac OS X should not freeze. Period. Make sure you read the definition of freeze that I posted on that other thread.
