iBook G4 14" and USB Problems

	So, I've discovered since upgrading to 10.3.x that my digital camera will no longer be read if I plug it directly into my iBook. The only way the iBook reads my digital camera is if the camera is plugged into my Apple Pro Keyboard. I've set my camera to be read over USB both ways, P2P and Normal. My digital camera is a Sony DSC-V1 and it is not faulty. Anybody know why this is happening, have any kind of similar problem? It's not a problem when I'm home, but on the road I'd love to be able to unload my pics and look at them on my screen. Please help!
