Hello: Lately, when I start up my PB (OSX 10.3.8, 768MB RAM), it takes an extremely long time for everything to start. I'm presented with the spinning beachball for what seems forever. The dock is available, and I can choose apps from it. When doing this, it SEEMS to quicken the overall startup. But if I'm just waiting for the screen to clear and my startup items to present themselves, I'm waiting for what seems an endless time. This is just a recent problem, but a constant one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. - Chris

I had this same problem and I fixed mine by removing many of the MANY fonts I had installed and never used (more than 1000), and used Onyx to clean my cache files. It helped greatly. The fonts were a big issue though.
Good Luck
Sam
